Customer Review: Great headphones…excellent sound
Had these headphones for 4 years, they have been great. The ear padding has wear because of the use now and I am looking for another pair…this pair made me love labtec as a brand.

These headphones had clear and loud sound also a long cord for distance between the screen and me. Extremely comfortable and they were sturdy for 3 of the 4 years.

Sony MDR-605LP Open-air Headphones with Soft Cloth Earpads Sony MDR-605LP Open-air Headphones with Soft Cloth Earpads The Sony MDR-605LP are quality headphones which provide lightweight, comfortable listening enjoyment. The MDR-605LP stereo headphones have a self-adjusting overhead headband which allows an individualized fit. The circum-aural design better fits a wide range of heads and ultimately provides fatigue-free listening. The cloth earpads are further testament to these headphones’ comfortable fit. The angle-adjusting housing which pivots the earcups allows for even further comfort-setting opportunities.

The open-air design removes undesirable resonance by allowing outside air to pass through the headphones; the result is a better sounding headphone. The over-sized forty millimeter drivers deliver very deep bass by lowering distortion and accommodating a wider dynamic range. The plugs are gold-plated giving the headphones the best possible connection; these plugs also help resist corrosion and support the headphones’ high conductivity and low noise. The Sony Acoustic Turbo circuit is included for high efficiency; it gets high sonic output from your portable stereo, and extends bass response. Put together, these features help counter the tendency of headphones to sound cheap and bass-low. With Sony’s UniMatch plug, it is possible to connect these headphones to both mini or full size headphone jacks.

The MDR-605LP’s cord is single-sided which minimizes tangles. The long, 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) Y-style cord allows for ample movement and separation from the sound source. The high-grade metallic finish is attractive and modern.

Customer Review: cool and easy on the ears, great for the office
I bought the MDR-605LP to use at work in a cubicle environment where I typically listen to vocal a cappella and jazz ensembles. Where most circumaural headphones tend to become too warm over time and eventually press my ears against my glasses, these do not interfere with my glasses and remain cool and comfortable over long listening sessions. What they lack in detail and sound stage they make up in comfort and price. Caution: MDR-605LP’s are ‘open air’ headphones and while suitable for editing recordings (in a quiet space), they are not suitable as recording monitors since sound bleeds through the backs of the cans.
Customer Review: Art’s minidisc
Good headphones. Great sound & comfort & the price is right.
The 40 ohm impedence better matches my Sony MXD-D40 (32) & my Sony MZ N510CK (24).I had to replace my old Sennheiser HD520 II headphones that wore out & were 300 ohm impedence. (It seems to make a difference in volume and sound quality if the impedence matches closer) The cord is one sided and is 1 Meter long. This makes it ideal for home recording & monitoring.
Not the same quality as the Sennheiser’s but will work well for my needs.

Customer Review: Don’t pull the wire out
The sound quality was excellent for the money. It can’t take yanking on the cord or steping on it. My Koss headphones never had that problem but look what they cost.
Customer Review: Absolutely The Worst Headphones Ever!
Wow. I have used some really crappy quality headphones in my life thus far and I am awed to say that this is the new low. The best way for me to describe the sound would be that these headphones are like a “magical” filter that filters all your wonderful sources of sound, be it musics or movies, into a horrible sounding AM radio. That’s how they sound. So, don’t buy these headphones unless they are dirtcheap and you really really really need some headphones in a hurry.

Customer Review: got a pair at big lots for ten bucks
As mentioned in other reviews, yes, the chord is very short. Nice that it is a retractable, a whole 3 feet or so.

My title explains it all; Biglots the funny little American store that sells an assortment of products that dont sell elsewhere.

The cans are mushy, comfortable on the ears and head with the double band, but the sound is mushy, they have a 40 millimeter drivers that pump out bass/treble/mid, clutter with little distinction between where the three are in the sound you are hearing.

Customer Review: Cups too shallow
No my ears don’t stick out: not even as much as most. I got tired of the computer style headphones that press a foam disk against your ear so I decided to buy a set of “cans” and chose these. The sound is fine, the price right, but the cans, or earcups, are too shallow: the foam over the speaker still presses against my ear uncomfortably. To me, the ring that goes around your ear should press against your head, leaving your ears untouched. That’s why I can wear hearing protectors all day with no problem: they are designed for comfort! These are not. Also, their smallest size setting is just right for this 40 yr old male. If your head is smaller, you may need to wear a hat or two under these.
Customer Review: Amazing Treble and decent bass. Awesome Value Product.
The best headphones for the price I have ever bought. At first glance, I found them normal. But if you listen carefully, these headphones have the best treble output I have ever seen. Listening to an acoustic guitar on this one makes you feel you are in the clouds. The design of the earcups are soo good that you can wear the headphones all day long. The long cord is a huge advantage. I recently bought a Bose headphones, which are the best. But I still love my labtec. They might not be as good as Bose but definitely a lot of value for its price. Thanks a lot Labtec, Awesome product at a highly affordable price.

Customer Review: Nice Cans
For the price vs quality, I don’t think these can be beat. Pros: clean tight lows, clear highs, no distortion at high volumes, very long cord(this could be a con, depending on your needs), excellent price. Cons: big(they’re no earbud), open back design(at high volumes, anyone near you can hear lots of bleed of what you’re listening to). I’ve had 2 pair of these now and so far they’ve performed very well.

Customer Review: It’s comfortable
It’s very comfortable and flexible. But I feel that the length of the wire is short.
Customer Review: Great fit bad sound
I previously had the koss but changed since they keep falling out. I have tried this for about 3 weeks @ 3x a day. The fit is the best and I never have to touch them again. The biggest problem is the sound. I don’t constantly have to fiddle with the earphones however I do have to change the volume constantly. For some reason the highs are extremely tinny/loud and when playing certain music it hurts my ears. The bass is obviously lacking. I’m no audiophile but when playing music that used to sound good on regular headphones now hurts the ears is really bad. I think I had to crank the volume so high to hear the mids and lows that when the highs come in they hurt.

Customer Review: Great looking, but how do they sound?
Wow, Skullcandy, what a cool brand name. I own a pair of Smokin’ Buds and I have to say that I didn’t even know earbuds had the possibility of sounding so good. The bass in those things are unbelievable! So, no need to say how high my expectations were for their $80 headphones. The Ti set is very comfortable and has an inline volume control, an extention for your cord, and a home stereo adapter (all gold plated for less signal loss). I could wear ‘em all day long and not suffer from ‘headphone head’. At this point, I couldn’t wait to pump some tunes through them. I have to be honest here, I was extremely dissapointed. The mids, highs, and clarity are great. That’s where it ends. I’m still wondering if mine are broken, cuz the bass is practically non-existant. The overall sound is a bit flat and tingy also. I have a pair of Koss that I paid $20 for at Walmart, and their bass annihilates the Ti’s low range. In fact, they have a more, full and robust sound quality all the way around. The only thing the Ti set has over the Koss is the clarity and separation of details. I’ve heard the Skullcandy Hesh have a richer bass than the Ti, but I haven’t heard them. So, I’m not sure what happened with the Ti set or why they would be $80. Just a fair warning, but listen for yourself and come to your own conclusion as everyone has their own opinion. This was mine. Happy shopping!
Customer Review: Totally cute, totally worth it
I had these for about 2 months now. They get kind of sweaty if you wear them in the gym… LUCKILY they come with extra ear pads that are white leather instead of fuzzy pink. You cannot change the headband though.
