Customer Review: Cheap and cheerful, does the job
I bought these to listen to continuing ed webcasts - comfortable and practical for this purpose. Haven’t used them to listen to music yet, so I can’t comment on using them for that purpose.
Customer Review: Decent headphones at a reasonable price
I purchased these headphones to use with my personal and work laptop. Given the price (under $10) I figured that I couldn’t go wrong. The headphones are light, fairly comfortable, and provide decent sound quality. My one complaint would be that the headband doesn’t hold the earphones tight enough to the ears - causing some leak of sound.

Sony MDR-DS3000 Infrared Wireless Digital Surround Headphones Sony’s MDR-DS3000 Infrared Wireless Digital Surround headphones are designed for audiophile home theater enthusiasts, and are ideal for DVD players and other components with Dolby Digital, Dolby Surround or DTS Surround Sound. They feature a comfortable, open-air design and a self-adjusting headband, and work at a 23 foot transmission range and a 90 degree transmission angle.
The transmitter that comes with the headphones and enables their wireless transmission incorporates Sony VPT Virtual Phones Technology with advanced level 125MIPS (125 million instructions per second) Logic 3D Processor to provide richer and more natural sound quality, and weightier, more substantial bass sounds to enhance the sound’s live presence. There’s even a Decode-Mode indicator on the front which visually indicates when the system is in Dolby Digital, Dolby Surround, or DTS mode, and provides a snazzy, stylized representation of the virtual speaker placement relative to the listener. The optical digital input allows you to use the phones with Dolby Digital and PCM audio-enabled devices, and its gold-plated analog input provides noise-free Dolby stereo and pure stereo sources from external devices.
For you audiophiles out there, please note these phones sport a fifth order Delta/Sigma A/D converter that uses 64X over-sampling for high precision audio, as well as a multi-level Delta/Sigma D/A Converter that achieves 18 bit resolution. There’s also SILMIC Electrolytic capacitors at the analog stage, for more natural sound, and the copper board traces are literally twice as thick as conventional designs, giving you higher conductivity.
The phones sport a high power infrared transmitter with separate FM carriers for wide bandwidth, and high channel separation, and its 90-degree transmission angle further enhances your ability to enjoy uninterrupted surround sound listening without pinning you down to one spot. You’ll get superb transient response with the long-stroke 12um polyester film diaphragms: the new diaphragm shape resists bending and flexing to provide low levels of distortion. Plus, the oversized 30mm diameter drive units are larger than most headphones, for noticeably deeper bass sounds.
The built-in Dolby Pro Logic II decoder unlocks any Surround Sound tracks included in traditional VHS Hi-Fi, and stereo TV, sources to provide the maximum “live” entertainment experience available even here. Built in Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS 5.1 Decoders reproduce all popular surround sound systems, including state of the art 5.1 channel sound as well as Digital Theater Systems surround sound. Headphone functions include automatic On/Off, volume control, muting, power save, and the ability to recharge on the base.
What’s in the Box
Headphones, processor, stand for processor, AC power adapter, rechargeable NiMH batteries, optical digital connecting cable (Toslink to Toslink)
Customer Review: A Good Buy

Customer Review: Waste of money
I bought these a couple of months ago to replace a pair that shorted out on a trip. The first two times I was actually almost impressed on how good the sound was for the price, but the second I went to pull them out for the thrid use one ear piece was completely shorted out and I could barely hear out of the other. When you’re using music to clear your mind, the last thing you want is to find out you can’t because the headphones you’ve used twice do not work. Don’t waste your money, these wont last.
Customer Review: Gummy headphones
These were for my niece. She was thrilled and said they are of great quality.

Customer Review: Very comfortable
These earphones are extremely comfortable and they don’t fall off my ears while doing light activity. They also sound pretty good, although you have to turn the volume up louder than you would for in-ear style earphones since these sit on the outside of your ears. My only complaint is that the wire going to the right side is twice as long as the wire going to the left side. I’m thinking that I must have gotten a defective pair. If the wires had been the same length, I would have given it 5 stars.
Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET!!!
This headset does not fit well at all. It is also laud for a headset. Using it in a gym or office, you can be sure that people close to you can listen to your music as well.

Customer Review: Frequent Flier’s Best Friend
These were a Father’s Day gift for my husband. He was thrilled to get them - he is a frequent flier and was going to fly the next day. He loves the headphones! These are especially suited for him as he sweats easily and these sit on the ear, not over the ear as most other noise cancelling headphones do. And the price was right!
Customer Review: Great sounding headphones, but poor mechanical design
Pros: These headphones sound fantastic over a wide frequency range. The noise cancellation is good for the price. They fold up nicely so they’re good to travel with.

Customer Review: TV LISTENER
I first purchased one of these TV listeners for my father. Then my mother who lives with me, stated she would like one. I purchsed her one for MY birthday in February. She then went on a weekend trip with some cousins of hers and took the Listener and 2 of them liked it. So then she had me purchase 2 more. This is a great item and I recommend it for any purchase that has a hearing impaired family member, so you don’t have to hear their tv when you are trying to listen to your own.

Customer Review: great fit and sound, but not the most durable
I bought these for my ipod because i have never had much luck with ear buds. LOVE THEM, they work great for running, they stayed on my ears and didnt completely block out oustide sounds (like traffic). After about a year, one ear started being fussy (which is always my problem with headphones - the connection goes because I toss them in my bag and carry them everywhere). So i decided to buy a second pair. This time the right ear has been a little fussy from the time i opened the box. Maybe i just happened to get a dud pair. Overall I still love them, Great sound and fit, but may not last long if you are constantly transporting them like I do.
Customer Review: Very Comfortable
I have a real problem with the in ear headphones that come with ipods. They are just too big for my ears, hurt, and will not stay in my ear. I run with these and they stay in place without any problems. I can still hear what is going on around me, but hear my music great. My daughter wants a pair.
